Portfolio
OCTAVIA
A computational method for transforming dispersed enterprise information into governed, reproducible and reusable knowledge structures.
OCTAVIA OME-Zarr
End-to-end architecture for OME-Zarr ingestion, PostgreSQL control, formal CSV contracts, Spark processing and Parquet Data Objects.
RMS-EMMA / NUE 112
Source-aligned Bronze Data Objects that preserve original emergency-response evidence without foreign keys, without a central event hub, and without silent normalisation of source identifiers.
RMS-EMMA / NUE 112
Bronze and Silver architecture with entity resolution, surrogate-key reconstruction and governed operational timelines.
A Data Platform is an institutional computational capability: a system through which an organisation can explain what it knows, how it came to know it, and under which conditions that knowledge may be used.
Thirty essays on the culture and discipline of Data Platforms.
Two collections examining architecture, semantics, mathematics and the philosophy of data. Together they contain thirty technical essays.
A Computational Culture of Data Platforms
Fifteen technical essays on architecture, semantics, mathematics, and the philosophy of data
The Discipline of Data Platforms
Fifteen technical essays on reliability, meaning, governance, and computational control
Research on Strategic Systems and Digital Institutions.
A programme of formal working papers examining computational social science, game theory, decision theory, digital health ethics, AI governance, institutional behaviour and collective decision-making.
All working papersScarcity, Relative Payoffs and Political Irrationality
A formal model of political choice under persistent scarcity, distinguishing material welfare from relative and identity payoffs and measuring the divergence between perceived and effective rationality.
The Machine as Multiplier, Not Substitute
Digital elder-care platforms do not merely automate existing workflows: they redistribute information, discretion, accountability and bargaining power among patients, caregivers, clinicians, social workers, public authorities, technology providers and algorithmic systems. Using the TutelAge programme and the OCTAVIA healthcare data framework as a case study, this paper examines human oversight, privacy, surveillance, interoperability, algorithmic bias, therapeutic adherence and the institutional allocation of responsibility. Through fifteen mathematical models and a game-theoretic analysis of principal–agent conflicts, signalling, repeated cooperation, alert congestion and mechanism design, it argues that machines should possess broad computational reach but narrow institutional authority.
The “Anti-Maranza” Bill: Security as Electoral Technology
A game-theoretical analysis of Italy's “anti-maranza” bill as punitive signalling, electoral reassurance and a political technology of social control.
The Wide Coalition as an Adversarial Decision System
A formal game-theoretic analysis of coalition instability, adversarial issue selection and decision-system compatibility within Italy's prospective broad progressive alliance.
The Ceuta Signal
A Bayesian signalling and electoral competition model of the July 2026 Ceuta episode, separating descriptive accuracy from electoral optimality.
Explore the connections between concepts, essays and architectures.
Governed computational entities carrying identity, contract, lineage and quality.
